Letter from the Chairman:
As China explodes into the 21st century, we are witnessing the powerful confluence of three key business factors: the growing Chinese economy, the demand for technology in this growing economy, and the growth in Wi-Max technology as a prominent communications tool.
As an observer and active participant in the huge change that has occurred over the past 30 years, I have experienced first-hand that although technologies may come and go, long term relationships are absolutely critical to success in China.
In creating China Wi-Max Communications (CWMC), we are working with close Chinese friends and business experts with whom we have built strong relationships through our previous work in China over the years. These relationships and our technical and financial experience give us the solid foundation to develop and introduce exciting technologies which will benefit the everyday lives of the Chinese people.
China Wi-Max Communications has assembled a world-class team of experts in the area of telecommunications, specifically focused on Wi-Max product development and system deployment. We believe that wi-max will be a leading, if not dominant, technology used for communication within China in the next three to five years.
Working inside the legal framework for foreign corporation participation as established by the Chinese government, we are already participating in a cooperative agreement with a major broadband provider in Beijing, to identify and purchase companies in the Wi-Max arena. To these companies we bring technical and financial resources to build the most advanced Wi-Max products and services available today.
This cooperative agreement is just the first in a series of steps we plan to take in China including the selective review and invitation to a series of other smaller companies, each making a unique contribution to the core mission of our joint venture, to become part of the larger enterprise.
As of today we have retained one full-time and three part-time engineers to locate and assess the technology and services of local companies for possible acquisition. Our principle engineer has over 25 years of optical and wireless engineering experience. Our Shanghai office is operational with staff to provide support and coordination between our Chinese engineers and local companies.
As the demand continues to grow for technology in China, we look forward to applying our technology and financial resources into this market, supported by the relationships we have built with all of this focused on providing quality products and services to the Chinese people and businesses, while creating success for all of our partners.
